Sales Representative

Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of a SALES REPRESENTATIVE for one of our clients, a general wholesale store, based in Penal.  The main responsibility of the Sales Representative will be to maximize sales for our client’s products in the following areas:

• Guayaguayare
• Biche
• Princes Town
• Tabaquite
• Point Fortin
• Barrackpore
• And environs.

The Sales Representative must meet monthly and quarterly financial quotas.

Specific Duties

Specific Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Physically visiting customers along sales routes to secure orders and forwarding orders to relevant department for processing.
2. Regularly contacting customers to promote new products or obtain re-orders.
3. Liaising with company’s administrative department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
4. Recommending and assisting with implementation of marketing and promotional efforts.
5. Conducting customer satisfaction surveys.
6. Preparing and executing weekly Sales Visit Plans and providing detailed weekly reports of the previous week’s activities outlining sales, market information, customer comments etc.
7. Other related duties.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes:
1. At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
2. Experience in industrial or hardware sales will be an asset.
3. A certificate in Sales or a related field from a recognized institution.
4. Five (5) CXC/CSEC/O’Level subjects.
5. Must possess a valid Driver’s Permit and own a reliable vehicle.
6. Must be computer literate.
7. Must have a valid Police Certificate of Character.

Working days: Monday to Saturday.

Compensation includes a basic salary, travelling allowance and commission based on achieving deliverables.
