Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of a Cashier for Pappy’s (Home of Brian’s Fried Chicken), a restaurant located at 15 O’Connor Street, Woodbrook, Port of Spain.

The Cashier will report to the Front Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming customers and help determine their orders.
  • Answering the company phone and assisting customers with requests
  • Processing customer orders and recording them in the restaurant database.
  • Relaying customers’ orders to the kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a high level of honesty and integrity in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and management
  • Accurately and responsibly handling cash transactions, including processing payments and providing correct change. Tallying money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
  • Ensuring the security of the restaurant by monitoring entrances, exits, and common areas for any suspicious activity
  • Assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, including dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen spaces.
  • Upholding all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and customer service.
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver efficient and friendly service to all patrons.
  • Communicating effectively with management regarding any issues or concerns related to security or customer satisfaction.
  • Placing food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes for delivery
  • Helping kitchen staff when needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have completed secondary level education or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Must have a valid Police Certificate of Character.

 

Working days and hours:

  • Tuesdays to Thursdays – 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Fridays and Saturdays – 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
